Daffodil Day Charity Event a Great Success

Our annual Daffodil Day tournament was held on Wednesday, 21 August, with 14.5 tables.

This event has been running for over 25 years, with daffodils from Matapara Farm courtesy of the Bayliss/Matthews family.

The winners of the Margaret Reeves trophy this year were Carol Grant and Keith Reddaway.

Today we raised $1702 for the local branch of the NZ Cancer Society - one of their members, Jayne Bowers was helping us today in the kitchen.

Bridge players came from Rotorua and as far away as Taupo. All three of our life members were there - Byrta Wagstaff, Janet Burrett, and Dora Wickham.
