Asia Pacific Bridge Championships

Christine and Jenna Gibbons are representing New Zealand at the Asia Pacific Bridge Championships. Play starts 9 June, finishing 17 June.  Most days there are 4 matches, each 2 hours long. Play starts at 9.00 in the morning (this is not fun for some people who are barely awake, let alone intelligent at this time of the day) and finishes at 7.30pm, then they have to go and find dinner.

Welcome Bay Singles

The Welcome Bay Singles is played for the Hookey Trophy. This competition is played over five (5) nights, each session with a different partner. One round may be missed. The winner will be decided based on the four (4) best scores, if five (5) sessions are played.

Successful, fun bridge lessons

The 2023 Lessons got off to a roaring start with 24 beginners attending the first night. The Apple cake and scones went down a treat for supper and it was  such a lovely atmosphere.  A couple of beginners were unable to make the first week but will be able to catch up next week. If you're interested  in learning this exciting game please phone Trish Kidd on 021415749 or Rainy Creasy on 0278398618
